In the competitive landscape of higher education, every aspect of a college campus plays a crucial role in attracting prospective students. One often overlooked but vital component is the cafeteria. It’s not just about the food; it’s about the atmosphere and the overall experience. This was the challenge faced by Colgate University. Their cafeteria, managed by Chartwells Food Service, served delicious meals, but was in dire need of an update. However, with budget constraints limiting the scope of traditional remodeling, they turned to Dataflow for a creative solution.

With a keen understanding of the importance of ambiance in dining spaces, we embarked on a mission to revitalize the cafeteria without tearing down any walls or knocking out any windows. Using custom wallpaper adorned with captivating graphics, we infused the area with a fresh, contemporary aesthetic. Subtle textures like wood and brick were used to give the space an organic feeling, while the brighter graphics added life to the space. This transformation not only aligned with the college’s branding but also elevated the dining experience for students and faculty alike.
